It really could have been glossed over as a nervous mistake at first, but the comment about the maid of honor was way too pointed. It was definitely a purposeful jab and meant to hurt.

Sounds like everyone at the wedding noticed that the bride made a public effort to hurt her sister’s feelings and likely confronted her. She couldn’t take the heat, and instead of taking responsibility and apologizing, decided to somehow pin the blame on the victim.

Bride leaves sister out of wedding speech thanking bridal party, storms out when she refers to maid of honor as ‘the best sister I never had’
Welcome, women of the World Wide Web. Wedding speeches can be nerve racking — especially when the number of guests at the event reaches the hundreds. People respond to the anxiety brought on by public speaking differently. While the best wedding speeches are short and to the point, some nervous individuals drone on and on, waxing poetic about the couple, reminiscing on childhood memories, or bringing up totally unrelated anecdotes. Others might forget key, important details during their time with the microphone, leading to unwanted wedding drama.
In our story today, a bride skips her sister's name during the wedding speech when thanking the bridal party for all of their hard work and support. Our protagonist lets it slide at first, thinking she simply forgot and made an innocent mistake. However, the bride then proceeds to rub salt in the wound by dubbing her made of honor 'the sister she never had.' Get all the details by scrolling down!
